Elm Bank House is a safe, stable and consistent home in which a child can have the opportunity to reach their full potential. At Elm Bank House we believe that a children’s home can and should be a nurturing and a positive experience for children.
Our Aims...

To create a place the children can call home with warmth, care and guidance for them to experience new relationships through positive adult/child and peer group interactions as well as building on maintaining positive family relationships.

We believe in a child centred approach to looking after children rooted in ‘homely’ values and belief that every child has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. A consistent staff team at Elm Bank House ensures that children in our care are equipped with good opportunities that enable them to overcome the barriers associated with their Learning Difficulties and Disabilities.

Elm Bank House shares a passion for providing a stable and progressive base for children to grow develop and learn to navigate through life in a safe environment. Elm Bank House cares and supports children with a diagnosis of learning disabilities supporting children from the ages of 6 to 19. Elm Bank House will also consider providing accommodation for children who have other diagnoses such as, Autism, ADHD, GDD, etc as long as their primary need is learning disability. We are happy to consider placements for children exhibiting a wide range of behavioural and communication difficulties such as no communication or limited communication.
